Brookside will "Celebrate Center 1" 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

Touted as a "global celebration," this annual event from the sleek shopping center from 34th to 35th Place on Peoria Avenue invites the public to browse the Center 1 shops and restaurants while enjoying the sounds of modern jazz.

You can also buff your karma by bidding on awesome silent auction items at some of the stores, proceeds from which benefit Domestic Violence Intervention Services. SR Hughes will auction off a Cassina LCI sling chair; Jara Herron, a spa package; Eco Baby + Kids, a highchair with European styling; Pohlenz Cucine Moderne, a design consultation with owner Scott Pohlenz; dinner for eight from Blue Moon; a party for 10, including snacks and cocktails, from One Billiards; and dinner for eight, including wine and food, prepared by James Cooper from Center 1 Market and held at Aberson Exhibits.

Stores will also offer special events or drawings, such as Baby Bump. This chic new maternity boutique will offer gifts with purchases, while supplies last, as well as a chance to win a Mama Mio kit. And Black Optical will host the entire creative team from SALT.Optics, makers of premium handcrafted eyewear.

Macy's at Woodland Hills will host a men's GQ event 5:30-10 p.m. Friday.

Speaking of gifts, drawings will be held in the 12 stores hosting GQ events, Rice said. One person out of those stores, including Tulsa, will win a $2,500 wardrobe. Other prizes include a private session with GQ magazine's style editor, a big screen TV, bike and vacations, including Park City, Utah, and Australia, Rice said.

Also during this time, Macy's will offer 25 percent off previously reduced merchandise for purchases of $100 or more.
