ABC turns spotlight on musicians from Oklahoma
Several Oklahoma country music stars are among the artists who will be profiled in a new ABC television special, "In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: Bright Lights. Big Stars. All Access Nashville," on Tuesday.
Checotah native Carrie Underwood, Norman native Vince Gill and Rascal Flatts — with Picher native Joe Don Rooney — are among the stars featured in the one-hour special, airing on Tulsa's KTUL, channel 8.

'Buffalo Soldiers Division' documented on screen
"Inside Buffalo," a documentary detailing the accomplishments of the 92nd Infantry Division, an all-black combat unit nicknamed the "Buffalo Soldiers Division" that fought in Italy during World War II, will be screened Tuesday night in Tulsa.
The documentary will show at Tulsa Community College's northeast campus, located at 3727 E. Apache St., at 6 p.m. A panel discussion follows. More information is available by calling 595-7536.
"Inside Buffalo" is also showing on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Rudisill North Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford Ave.
More information about this screening is available by calling 596-7280.
Time to prune
Now that trees have shed their fire-colored leaves, the naked towers of wood still need attention.
On Tuesday, Barry Fugatt, the Tulsa Garden Center's director of horticulture, will offer his "Pruning Trees and Shrubs" seminar.
The class is from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Tulsa Garden Center auditorium, 2435 S. Peoria Ave.

Orange Night Out
Tuesday is "Orange Night Out" at Whataburger restaurants.
Dine-in customers wearing orange from head to toe — an orange accessory such as hat or scarf does not qualify — will receive a free Whataburger.
The promotion will run 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at all area Whataburgers.
Herbal holiday tablescapes
It's time to dress your table for the holidays. Join the Tulsa Herb Society from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday for its fourth November brown bag lecture, called "Holiday Tablescapes."
Learn how to decorate your home by using what nature has given you. Tulsa Herb Society members will show you how to take herbs and plants from your garden and incorporate them into your decor, holiday arrangements and more.
The lecture is at the Tulsa Garden Center, 2435 S. Peoria Ave. For more, call 746-5125 or visit
