FAQ
What is the difference between the electronic edition, or e-edition, and the print edition of the Tulsa World?
The e-edition replicates every regular page of the print edition. The electronic edition does not include advertising inserts, as not all are available electronically from advertisers, or the pages of the Sunday television guide, TV World.
What does the e-edition have to offer?
The electronic edition is convenient and interactive.
Convenience: You can read it anytime and anywhere there is an available Internet connection.
Interactive: You can search by topic, person, event, or keyword to identify the information you want in seconds. All of the links printed in the e-edition are live, so you simply click on them to be sent directly to the web site mentioned.
As a print subscriber do I receive full access to the e-edition?
Yes. But they first must activate their print subscription at tulsaworld.com/activate.
How do I access the e-edition?
Click on the "Read today's paper and e-edition" link at the upper left of the tulsaworld.com home page. Then click on the front page image to access that day's e-edition.
Does the e-edition work on the Apple iPad?
Yes. But we have optimized the e-edition for iPads in our iPad app. Download the iPad app from the App Store and sign in with your activated print or digital account information. The e-edition within the iPad app allows for multi-touch gestures.
How much does a subscription to the e-edition cost?
The e-edition is part of a print subscription at no additional cost. A digital subscription gives you full access to the e-edition as well as our other digital products. Learn more at tulsaworld.com/subscribe.
Does it matter whether I have broadband or a dial-up Internet connection?
A dial-up connection through a modem is a much slower connection speed and is not optimal for viewing the electronic edition. A broadband connection allows for the best connectivity and enjoyment for your subscription.
Can articles, photos and features such as crossword puzzles and comics be printed out?
Yes. The puzzles can be printed out by clicking the puzzle icon button at the lower right of the e-edition screen. Once you click on it, the puzzles for that day will appear in a printer-friendly format. To print a page of all of the pages of the e-edition, click the PDF icon on the bottom right, select the pages and then select print within your PDF software.
Can I e-mail articles within the e-edition to a friend?
No. But you can email those same articles to a friend by going to the articles on tulsaworld.com and clicking the email button on the story page.
Can I download the entire paper as a PDF?
Yes. Click on the PDF icon on the bottom right of the e-edition and you can save and print out a color PDF file of all the pages in that day's e-edition.
I signed up and provided my e-mail address. Is that information being offered to any third parties?
No. This information is for internal use only. You may receive e-mails from the Tulsa World only, and can opt out at any time from these promotional e-mails.
If I go on vacation can I put my e-edition on a hold or stop while I am away?
No. There is no need. The electronic edition can be accessed anywhere you go, so you can always stay up to date with what is going in Tulsa.
