A Tulsa County judge will hear motions next month in a lawsuit filed by three former Oral Roberts University professors against the school, president Richard Roberts and three administrators.

Tulsa County District Judge Rebecca Nightingale set a Dec. 11 hearing on Tuesday in the highly publicized case.

John Swails, Tim Brooker and Paulita Brooker alleged in their lawsuit that they were fired or quit, either for refusing to use staff and students to work on a Tulsa mayoral candidate's campaign, or for telling a regent about an alleged "scandal vulnerability" report.

Contained in the report are accusations that Richard Roberts and his family spent ORU money to maintain a lavish lifestyle.

Roberts has denied the allegations, but said Oct. 18 he would take a leave of absence as president.
