SUV crash in Marshall County kills two people

Two people were killed
Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Marshall
County.
Dead are Kathy F. Ballard,
47, of Ardmore and Jeffery L.
Jones, 37, of Ada.
The two died about 2:30
p.m. about four miles west of
Madill on U.S. 70 when their
westbound 1998 Toyota sport
utility vehicle went left of center and struck an oncoming
2007 Chevrolet SUV head-on,
according to the Oklahoma
Highway Patrol.
Ballard, who was driving,
and Jones were pronounced
dead at the scene. They both
were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
The driver of the Chevrolet,
Charles A. Vancroft, 60, of
Lutz, Fla., was taken by helicopter to Norman Regional
Hospital with head, arm and
leg injuries, troopers said.
Vancroft was also wearing a
seat belt, troopers said.
