Wayman Tisdale was born in June 1964.

All-State at Booker T. Washington.

Averaged 18.8 points and 12 rebounds as a junior and led the Hornets to a state title. As a senior, averaged 23.7 points and 11.8 rebounds.

At Oklahoma, was a three time first-team All-American.

Became OU’s all-time leader in scoring and field goal percentage.

Was a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic basketball team in 1984.

In 12 NBA seasons, he scored more than 12,800 points and recorded more than 5,000 rebounds.

In 1995, Tisdale released his debut album, “Power Forward,” which climbed to No. 4 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz chart. Has released seven other albums.
