May 2001: Balogun (age 17) graduates from Suitland High School in Upper Marlboro, Pa.
June 2003-Sept. 2004: Balogun (age 19-20) says he played in the North American Football League.
June 2003-Sept. 2005: His former coach says Balogun (age 19-21) played in the NAFL.
Fall 2005: Balogun is listed as an NAFL all-star linebacker.
Fall 2005: Balogun (age 21) joined the Prince George Jets, a winter semipro team, according to a 2008 Maryland newspaper report.
June 2006: Balogun (age 22) enrolls at Lackawanna (Pa.) College.
Fall 2007: Balogun (age 23) is named his conference player of the year and is a juco All-America.
May 2008: Balogun (age 24) is certified eligible by the NCAA and enrolls at Oklahoma.
Jan. 8, 2009: Balogun (age 25) starts at middle linebacker in the BCS national title game against Florida.
Jan. 9: A Florida State compliance officer questions Balogun’s eligibility in an e-mail to the Big 12 Conference.
July: Balogun (age 25) is told for the first time by the NCAA that his eligibility is being investigated.
Friday: Balogun’s eligibility is decertified by the NCAA.
Tuesday: Balogun files an injunction against the NCAA that allows him to keep practicing.
Next Monday: Balogun’s will have his day in Cleveland County District Court.
