Sooners Brown, Willams to play in Senior Bowl

Oklahoma seniors Chris Brown and Trent Williams will represent the Sooners in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 30, the all-star game announced on Monday.

Brown, from Alexandria, Va., earned honorable mention All-Big 12 this season as he rushed for 749 yards and seven touchdowns. He also caught passes for 131 yards and another TD. Brown rushed for 1,220 yards and scoring 21 touchdowns as a junior last season and ranks 10th in school history with 2,877 rushing yards. He's fifth in school history in career rushing attempts (615) and fourth all-time with 45 career touchdowns.

Williams, from Longview, Texas, was a consensus All-American as he moved to left tackle this season after starting 2 1/2 years at right tackle. He finished his career by playing center in the Sun Bowl against Stanford on Dec. 31. Williams made 37 starts in his career and led the Sooners this season with 97 knockdown blocks.

The Senior Bowl will be carried live by NFL Network.
