With the report that a producer of Terrence Malick's films attended a community forum in Bartlesville on Friday (see D6), it's time to start referring to the upcoming production there by the name it goes by on the Internet Movie Database: "Untitled Terrence Malick Project (2012)."

Nicolas Gonda is one of the producers on that project as well as "Tree of Life," Malick's film that is likely to be released before the end of the year for awards consideration.

Gonda on Friday made an appearance in Bartlesville to address filming there as early as next month. State and Bartlesville officials would not confirm the project by Malick, a reclusive filmmaker and Bartlesville native who has made his past films under similarly confidential conditions.

The "Untitled Terrence Malick Project" lists a cast of Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem, Rachel Weisz and Ben Affleck, whose name has been added to the listing in the last week in place of Christian Bale.

Auditions are being held Saturday and Sunday in Bartlesville for the filming of a "romantic drama," which is what Malick's next film is described to be.

In addition, a call for crew members was made this week on the Oklahoma Film & Music Office website, with instructions to e-mail resumes to Redbud Pictures for filming that is to take place in the Bartlesville area in September.

Redbud Pictures LLC was incorporated in Oklahoma in March and in Texas in April, according to records. The manager of Redbud Pictures is Terrence Malick, a representative in the Texas Secretary of State's office said this week.

Malick is known for his films "Days of Heaven," "The New World" and "The Thin Red Line," for which he received two Academy Award nominations.
