With rowdy hits like "Heads Carolina, Tails California," "Bye, Bye," "Lesson in Leavin'," "That's the Way," "My Give a Damn's Busted" and "Biker Chick," country cowgirl Jo Dee Messina's proven that her kinetic kick can take down all doubters.

She'll round up her hits for a stellar one-night stand at RiverSpirit Casino's event center this weekend.

Since her music debut in the mid-1990s, her career has chronicled her life experiences - painful break-ups, liberating tell-offs, fulfillment, love and hope.

She's rough and tumble and full of spark, but making music has been a constant love of hers as long as she can remember.

"I'm a work in process," she said in a press statement. "I am constantly learning. I'm constantly growing. You're always evolving and it never ends. You're never, 'OK. I'm done. I've figured it all out.' "

For the fiery redhead, life is a journey; her songs are her signposts. Her fans are invited to tread life's path along with her, especially as she sets out to share her music.

This year saw the first new music from the songwriter in half a decade - and she has plenty to share.

This time around, Messina's taken the "six pack" approach to her newest album releases, trotting out a trio of shorter-length EPs through this year.

"Unmistakable Trilogy: Love," galloped onto the scene in April. Two more sets are expected later this year. She has a lot to share.

"What it boils down to is, it took 'em (the record label executives) so long to decide to do something with my music, I had 24 songs for this album. I just kept cuttin' and kept cuttin' and kept writing," said Messina in an interview with the Tacoma, Wash., News Tribune earlier this year. "And they said, 'We have enough for three EPs, so let's try to find a theme for each EP.' ... That way, they're hearing everything I recorded in the last years as opposed to 10 songs that I recorded and 14 songs that they never will hear."

This tour is perhaps the next chapter in a career that has brought the Massachusetts-born singer to the apex of a genre she has loved since she was a child.

She's sold more than 5 million albums and had nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard country songs chart.
