Woman stabbed at Salvation Army, suspect held by witnesses for arrest

A woman was stabbed three times in the back as she got out of her truck at the Salvation Army on Sunday before the suspect ran and was held by witnesses until police arrested him, according to police reports.

Police arrested Jonathan McGregor, 25, at about 4:19 p.m. near the Salvation Army at 102 N. Denver Ave., jail records show.

He was booked into the Tulsa Jail on complaint of assault with a deadly weapon after felony convictions on $50,000 bond, according to jail records.

Police said the victim saw McGregor allegedly running toward her, so she attemped to run away but felt three pains in her back.

She then ran into the Salvation Army as witnesses chased McGregor down, holding him for security, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police report.
