TU, Fresno State agree to football series

Tulsa and Fresno State have agreed to a home-and-home football series, it was announced on Thursday.
Fresno State will play at Tulsa on Sept. 29, 2012. The two-game contract will conclude in 2014, when the Golden Hurricane visits the northern California campus.
The schools last met in the 2005 Liberty Bowl. Tulsa captured a 31-24 victory in the New Year’s Eve contest.
It is Tulsa’s second game announced for the 2012 season. TU is scheduled to play at Iowa State on Aug. 30, a Thursday night season opener.
Tulsa and Fresno State were members of the Western Athletic Conference between 1996-2005.
Fresno State will join the Mountain West Conference in 2012.
Fresno State leads the all-time series 4-1.
