MUSKOGEE - Former University of Oklahoma quarterback Jamelle Holieway is being held in the Muskogee County jail on no bail, the sheriff's office confirmed on Wednesday.

Holieway, 44, is being held on warrants out of McIntosh County and a U.S. Marshal hold, said a Muskogee jailer.

Court records show Holieway was convicted in McIntosh County in 2007 on a misdemeanor marijuana charge. Two bench warrants were issued in January 2010 and April 2010 for failure to appear and failure to pay, court records show.

He was also charged in July 2010 in McIntosh County on a felony bail jumping charge, court records show.

Holieway was quarterback for the Sooners from 1985-88, leading the Sooners to a national championship in 1985. He played professionally for the Los Angeles Raiders from 1989-90 and the Canadian British Columbia Lions from 1991-92.
