Scattered flurries forecast for today in Tulsa area

From the Tulsa World weather blog: The latest on area snow

Scattered flurries are expected before noon in Tulsa today, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to remain near freezing today, with a high of 34 degrees in Tulsa, the weather service said.

Highs are not expected to reach above the 40s until Monday, when a high of 50 is forecast for Tulsa, according to the weather service.

After lows in the teens tonight, overnight temperatures are expected to be in the 20s through the weekend in Tulsa, with an overnight low in the 30s on Saturday, the weather service forecasts.

Tulsa recorded trace amounts of snow on Monday, but none so far today, according to the weather service.

However, Tulsa did receive trace amounts of rain this morning, bringing the month's total to 0.71 of an inch.

According to the weather service, Monday's 29 degrees was the lowest temperature recorded this month before today. Tulsa's low this morning was 25 degrees, recorded at about 8 a.m.
