The matchup: Woodland has a balanced offense that features quarterback Patrick Bartlett and tailback Willie Zackery. Bartlett has passed for 2,188 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also has rushed for 609 yards and four TDs. Zackery has rushed for 1,543 yards and 21 TDs. Bartlett, with 97 tackles, also leads a strong defense that has allowed only eight points per game in the playoffs.
Wayne's offense is powered by tailback Josh Way, who has rushed for 2,705 yards and 39 TDs. The Bulldogs don't go to the air often, but quarterback Sam Martin can be an effective passer as he has thrown for 895 yards and 10 TDs in 75 attempts. Louden Johnson is Wayne's leading tackler with 137, and Kale Groff is among the state's sack leaders with 22.
Notable: Woodland's Joe Sindelar is looking for the fifth state title of his coaching career. He won three at Morrison and last year with Woodland.
