Mulhall landmark Lucille's opens again

If you haven't received the word yet, a fully remodeled Lucille's has opened again two years after a kitchen fire forced it to close.

This longtime favorite of bikers and classic car enthusiasts has seating for 170 inside and another 170 outside. It is known for its chicken-fried steak, burgers and cold beer.

Brothers Chris and Don Harman, Mulhall natives, took over Lucille's and directed the remodeling project.

To get there, take Oklahoma 51 west to two miles past Interstate 35, then go four miles south on U.S. 77.

Shatterproof wine glasses on sale at Bodean

Here's a nice little gift for wine lovers. Bodean Seafood Market, 3376 E. 51st St., is selling shatterproof wine glasses by Govino. The flexible glasses are made from a food-safe (but not dishwasher safe), BPA-free polymer that reflects a wine's color and aromatics much like crystal. Cost is $11.99 for a box of four glasses.

McNellie's adds beers from Scandinavia

Tony Collins, bar manager at McNellie's Public House, 401 E. First St., has added Scandinavian beers to the pub's vast inventory.

The new beers come from Nogne O, a Norwegian brewery, and Mikkeller, a Danish brewery.

Collins has also introduced some holiday cocktails at Brady Tavern, including Dear Christina, a mix of Hendrick's gin, aged balsamic vinegar and strawberry preserves, topped with Domain de Canton foam.

Cosmo launches new sandwich, dessert

Cosmo, 3334 S. Peoria Ave., has added a new sandwich and a new dessert on its winter menu.

The Cosmo take on the Cuban sandwich features slow-roasted pulled pork, honey-roasted ham, pickles, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard and pineapple.

The winter banana split starts with a baked banana that is paired with pumpkin spices and white chocolate, and topped with vanilla ice cream, Chocolate Pebbles cereal and a cherry.

Cosmo will be open until 3 p.m. Christmas Eve but will be closed Christmas Day.
