Sage Culinary Studio announced Monday on its Facebook page that it is closing.
The owner of the cooking school, Catherine de Camp, thanked those who have supported the business since it opened in October 2008.
"During the last 3 1/2 years I have had the pleasure of bringing hands-on cooking into the lives of Tulsa area children and their families. My life moved from the corporate world into 'all things culinary' and it has been a wonderful experience for me and my family," de Camp said.
"Once we were established, I envisioned Sage as a Tulsa fixture for many years to come. Sadly, this is not to be the case as we have experienced a major financial setback that will force us to close Sage immediately."
The large school at 10425 E. 82nd St. near the SpiritBank Event Center in Bixby offered many adult and children's classes. A location on Peoria Avenue in Brookside closed a few weeks ago.
Many students and supporters posted comments on the Facebook page in disappointment about losing the school.
