Coweta Junior High student arrested after assault on teacher

COWETA — A 14-year-old Coweta Junior High School student was arrested Tuesday on an allegation that he assaulted a teacher, police Lt. Donnie Krumsiek said.
The boy, whose name was not released, was taken into custody on an assault and battery complaint. He was released to his parents Tuesday night, and police submitted the case to the Office of Juvenile Affairs, Krumsiek said.
Police were uncertain whether the teacher was injured.
