Crawpappy's sets weeklong anniversary celebration

Crawpappy's, 3344 E. 51st St., entering its 14th year tucked in a back corner of the Country Club Plaza shopping center, will stage an anniversary celebration all next week.

Each day, beginning Monday, will have a theme and giveaways, culminating April 15 with a Cajun crawfish and shrimp boil.

Crawpappy's is a neighborhood bar (over 21 only) that specializes in New Orleans-style food, including peel-and-eat shrimp with Creole mayo and po' boy sandwiches. It is open for lunch and dinner; the bar stays open until 2 a.m.

Mazzio's adds two cheese bread options to menu

Tulsa-based Mazzio's Italian Eatery has added two new cheese bread options, Cheezzy Cheese Bread and Cheezzy Pepperoni Bread.

The Cheezzy Cheese Bread is made from hand-tossed dough brushed with garlic butter and stuffed and topped with four cheeses. The same recipe is used for the Cheezzy Pepperoni, only with pepperoni added.

The breads are served with marinara or ranch sauce for dipping. One order serves three to four people and costs $6.

Pork loin Thursday special at Boston Deli this month

It's a mouthful to say but sounds delicious: The Thursday special in April at Boston Deli, 6231 E. 61st St., is orange maple molasses brined Hasty-Bake hickory roasted bone-in pork loin.

It is served with apple onion compote, sweet potato gratin with caramelized onion and chipotle creme, grilled asparagus with chili ginger drizzle, a choice of Caesar or field greens salad and a piece of pie.

The pork loin special is $16.

Doggie Easter egg hunt Saturday at Canebrake

The Canebrake resort, located four miles east of Wagoner off Oklahoma 51, will stage a doggie Easter egg hunt Saturday, with proceeds benefiting Wagoner Animal Guardian Society and Going Home Animal Rescue Transport.

One lucky dog will win its human a night at the Canebrake with Sunday brunch for two. Cost is a $10 donation per dog; bring your own Easter basket. Registration is 2 p.m. and the hunt 3-4 p.m.

Local Table to feature Gothic Bar & Grill dishes

Chef-proprietor Tuck Curren will feature dishes from New York City's Gothic Bar & Grill for Tuck's Dinner Club menu featured Wednesday and Thursday nights at Local Table, 4329 S. Peoria Ave.

Next week's menu will include striped bass ceviche, seared Hudson Valley foie gras, Berkshire pork chop and Gotham chocolate cake.

Cost is $35 per person ($15 extra for matching wines), plus tax and gratuity. Reservations: 918-794-8013.

Brasserie to offer three-course menu for Easter

The Brasserie, 3509 S. Peoria Ave., just missed the deadline to be included in last week's restaurant roundup for Easter day. The Brasserie will offer a choice of appetizer (lobster bisque, salad, shrimp cocktail), entree (brioche French toast, smoked salmon quiche, tenderloin stroganoff) and dessert (chocolate gateau, vanilla bean creme brulee, profiterole) for $29.95 a person, plus tax and gratuity.

Lucille's to hold classic car show, dance Saturday

Expect hot burgers, cold beverages and fresh-made pies when Lucille's Restaurant and Bar, a popular spot for daytrippers located in Mulhall, west of Stillwater on Oklahoma 77, holds a classic car show and street dance with a live band Saturday from 4-7 p.m.

Smashburger introduces Fresh Mex burger

Smashburger has introduced a Fresh Mex burger, featuring beef, avocado, cilantro, onions, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and spicy chipotle mayo. The combination also is available with chicken.

The burger, originally created as the local burger for the San Diego, Calif., market, will be available through April 29.

Cosmo offers new dessert

The newest dessert at Cosmo, 3334 S. Peoria Ave., is a Banana Split Personality with bananas, melted white chocolate, strawberry sauce, vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate pebbles.
