Margaret Love, a member of North Peoria Church of Christ, was part of a team that worked to find the families of the shooting victims and support them however possible.
They were devastated and angry, Love said.
Most of all they wanted to know what happened and who shot the men, she said after a memorial service for the victims at the church Sunday.
"Most of everybody was looking for answers," she said.
She hadn't spoken with the families since the announcement of the arrests of two men in connection with the shootings.
The families said the ones they had lost had never hurt anybody.
Personally, Love said she felt relieved at the possibility of closure.
