Former University of Tulsa star Ben Uzoh is on the Toronto roster, having signed consecutive 10-day contracts with the Raptors. On Friday, he got his first NBA start, scoring nine points in 34 minutes against Cleveland. On Sunday, in 12 minutes against the Thunder, Uzoh was scoreless and had two assists.

Following the game, Uzoh discussed the March 11 dismissal of his former TU coach, Doug Wojcik.

"It's unfortunate, but it's a part of the business," said Uzoh, generally considered to have been TU's best player during the seven-season Wojcik era. "Coach had a great run - especially when I was there. We changed the program. We helped uplift it."

Last week, Wojcik became the new head coach at the College of Charleston.

"I spoke with him," Uzoh said. "I congratulated him on his new gig at the College of Charleston. I told him he'd be back on his feet. I know he's going to help that program."

Uzoh's reaction to TU's hiring of former Kansas assistant Danny Manning: "From everything that I've heard, I think he's a good fit for TU. We'll see what he can do."
