Washington County court clerk quits

BARTLESVILLE - The Washington County Commission on Monday accepted the resignation of Court Clerk James Weaver, who is moving to the private sector.
Weaver, who worked for many years as the county's information technology officer before being elected as court clerk, wil leave office Friday.
Weaver recommends that the commissioners name Second Deputy Jill Spitzer, who has worked in the Court Clerk's Office for a decade, to complete his term.
The court clerk position is among posts that will be decided during this year's elections.
