Tulsa junior Kodi Maduka was released from St. Francis Hospital on Tuesday, nearly one week after collapsing during a pick-up basketball game at the Reynolds Center.
Maduka had been hospitalized for observation and tests since the Wednesday incident, which was about 90 minutes following the conclusion of Danny Manning's introductory news conference.
Maduka's future is unknown, but athletic director Ross Parmley said on Tuesday that it should be decided in the near future.
The Maduka family - parents Charles, Gloria and Kodi - issued a statement on Tuesday night.
"Kodi and our family wish to thank the athletic department, the athletic trainers, teammates, coach Manning and his coaching staff for their rapid response that resulted in the Easter miracle that could have been tragic.
"Kodi is fully recovering and we give all the glory to God for making everything possible. The TU family's outpouring of support and prayers are incredible. We thank all of you and the media for their understanding and professionalism."
