The Cabin in the Woods

Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford play pals who gather for a vacation at a remote cabin, only to find horrors galore in a story written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, longtime "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" collaborators.
The Three Stooges
1 hour, 30 minutes, starring Sean Hayes (right), Chris Diamantopoulos and Will Sasso, rated PG
We're not sure what to say about a modern update on the Larry, Curly and Moe brand of comedy. So we won't pass judgment on it until this effort from the Farrelly Brothers ("Dumb and Dumber") is released.
Touchback
1 hour, 58 minutes, starring Brian Presley (above) and Kurt Russell, rated PG-13
Former Jenks quarterback-turned movie actor Brian Presley stars in and produces this second-chance fantasy about a man given the opportunity to go back to his high school days - when he was a high school quarterback.
Lockout
1 hour, 35 minutes, starring Guy Pearce (above) and Maggie Grace, rated PG-13
This science-fiction thriller stars Guy Pearce as a man on a mission to rescue the president's daughter from a prison planet on which the inmates are running the place.
In Darkness
2 hours, 25 minutes, starring Robert Wieckiewicz and Benno Furmann, rated R
This Academy Award nominee for best foreign language film dramatizes the true story of an attempt to rescue Jewish refugees during World War II from Lvov, a city in Poland occupied by Nazi troops. Directed by Agnieszka Holland ("Europa Europa," "The Secret Garden").
The Raid: Redemption
1 hour, 41 minutes, starring Iko Uwais and Ananda George, rated R
One ruthless crime lord, 20 elite cops, 30 floors of chaos. That's the tagline for this Indonesian crime film about a SWAT team trapped inside a tenement building trading fire with a mob boss's henchmen. A U.S. remake is already planned.
