NORMAN — A trial is set for Monday for a former nurse accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.

The Norman Transcript reports Amy Marie Blose faces 24 felony charges, including 15 counts of first-degree rape involving a victim under the age of 14. Blose has pleaded not guilty.

Blose's defense attorney and a prosecutor told a judge Thursday that it's critical a fair jury be picked. Assistant District Attorney James Siderias says he'll question potential jurors on whether they believe a woman is capable of sexually assaulting a male. But Blose's attorney, Keith Nedwick, says it's important that the jury not be biased because the alleged offender is a woman.

Blose worked as a nurse at Moore Medical Center before her arrest. Prosecutors say the alleged abuse happened in 2010.
