Romney schedules Oklahoma City fundraiser May 9

OKLAHOMA CITY - Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, will travel to Oklahoma next month for a fundraising event.

Romney will appear May 9 at the home of Oklahoma City philanthropists Harold and Sue Ann Hamm to talk to donors about his campaign.

Harold Hamm is the founder, chairman and CEO of Continental Resources Inc., one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in the country.

The Romney campaign is organizing a group of Tulsans to travel to and from the reception.

The minimum donation to take part in the event is $1,000, with "event chair" sponsorships available for as much as $50,000, according to a flier for the event.
