Raymond Eugene Woods was born September 14, 1962 in Tulsa Oklahoma to WD (Bud) Woods and Sarah Eloise Woods. Ray passed from this life Wednesday, April 11, 2012 due to a motorcycle accident near Basehor, Kansas at the age of 49. He was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Daniel Webster High School, Class of 1980. He went on to graduate from Baker University and Oklahoma State University. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Bud Woods and a brother Edgar Leon Woods. He is survived by his mother Eloise Woods, his loving wife Sharon Woods, his daughters Megan Woods, Rachel Woods, and Grace Woods; his stepsons, Tommy Hopkins of Liberty Missouri, Derick Hopkins of Nacogdoches Texas and Andrew Hopkins of the home; his two sisters Marilyn Breaux and husband Joe of Gonzales, LA, and their two children Pete and Christine Breaux; Peggy Pearman and her husband Darrell and children Cole and Shelby. Also, a nephew Jake Woods and wife Renee of Pueblo, CO, and a host of friends that will miss him dearly. Ray enjoyed flying his plane, playing golf and fishing. Most of all, Ray loved his family. Visitation was at Quisenberry’s Funeral Home in Tonganoxie, Kansas on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Funeral services were Monday, April 16, 2012 at West Haven Baptist Church at 1:00pm. Graveside service will be in Tulsa on Tuesday at 2pm at Meadowbrook Cemetery, 5717 S. 65th W. Ave., Tulsa, OK (by Jane Adams Elementary). This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 4/17/2012.
