Shooting by friend was accidental, police say

A man was injured in an accidental shooting Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The victim was shot in the back of his leg by a friend, and police determined that the shooting was accidental.
After the shooting, his friend drove him to the QuikTrip at 4545 N. Lewis Ave., where 911 was called just before 3 p.m., police said. It wasn’t clear where the shooting occurred.
The man was in fair condition when he was taken by ambulance to St. John Medical Center, according to EMSA.
