Free landfill days set for this weekend

Free landfill days will be held 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Quarry Waste Management Landfill for Tulsa utility customers.
The landfill site is located at 13740 E. 46th St. North about 1½ miles east of U.S. 169.
Residents who show a Tulsa utility bill or driver’s license with an address within the city limits will gain free access into the site.
No items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted, including air conditioners and refrigerators.
A $2 fee will be charged for each discarded tire to cover state fees for disposal and recycling of tires.
Loads in trucks and trailers should be secured and covered to prevent contents from blowing out onto roadways and creating traffic hazards.
