Grove principal named Principal of the Year
OKLAHOMA CITY - A principal from Grove has been named 2012-13 Oklahoma Elementary Principal of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of Elementary School Principals.
Julie Bloss is the principal at Grove Early Childhood Center, which is part of the Grove school district.
A committee of former award winners from across the state selected four finalists and then visited their schools and interviewed parents, community leaders, staff and the principals.
Before becoming principal, Bloss worked as a teacher, counselor and assistant principal. Outside of work, she volunteers as a grant writer for the city of Grove and the Grove Police Department. She is a graduate of Northeastern State University.
