Play it again Sam, indeed.
A March screening of "Casablanca" on the big screen proved so popular that the 1943 best picture winner returns on Thursday for an encore showing.
In addition, last month's showing of "The Godfather" at Cinemark Tulsa in honor of its 40th anniversary has prompted the theater to screen the sequel, "The Godfather, Part II," also this Thursday.
"Casablanca," the beloved 1942 romance starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, plays at 7 p.m. Thursday at both Cinemark Tulsa and Cinemark Broken Arrow theaters. This digital screening is presented in conjunction with Turner Classic Movies, showing the most recent restored version of the film in honor of the film's 70th anniversary.
Tickets for the TCM event are $11.50, or $10.50 for senior citizens. In addition to the film, host Robert Osborne takes audiences behind the scenes of "Casablanca" for stories from those who were on set and for memories from fans of the picture.
Meanwhile, "The Godfather, Part II" is screening at Cinemark Tulsa, 10802 E. 71st St., at both 2 and 7 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets to see the 1974 Academy Award winner are $8.50 for either showing, or $6 for seniors.
Tickets for these films may be purchased at the Cinemark Tulsa box-office or online at tulsaworld.com/cinemark
