Letter to the Editor: Supports EMSA
BY LeAnn Smith, Tulsa

I am writing this letter to complain
about all the negative publicity
your paper has been giving EMSA.
EMSA medics are caring and professional.
They put their lives on the
line every day to save our lives. They
leave their families at home on a daily
basis and during all kinds of natural
and weather-related disasters
and put the citizens of Tulsa first.
Why don’t you try focusing your
energy on all the lives that are saved
and all the good done in this community
by EMSA instead of nit-picking
them “because they bought a $1,500
grill,” which they use regularly to
cook meals for the medics who are
on shift, and don’t have time to stop
in the middle of their shift to eat a
proper meal. Or, because of a few
bills sent out in error.
The bottom line is that EMSA
does an outstanding job of serving
this community and it needs to be
recognized for all their hard work.
