OSU's Remember the Ten Run now honors 14

participants. Look past the
race times and age groups.
Take a closer examination of
the last names.
Those familiar surnames
scattered among the record
2,254 people that participated
in Saturday’s Remember
the Ten Run are the ones that
define the event.
A few Weibergs, a couple of
Teegins and a group of Hancocks.
Nearly every family
of the 10 lost in that Jan. 21,
2001, plane crash was represented
in some way.
“When they started this
run, I think it’s something
that has reopened a lot of the
eyes of people and they come
here to acknowledge those
families,” former OSU basketball
coach Eddie Sutton
said. “I know it’s very important
to the families. Anybody
that knew any of those 10 certainly
knew that they were
just quality people.”
