The Owasso Police Department has seized six suspicious $20 bills and one suspicious $100 bill as evidence over the past two weeks, the department said in a news release Monday. The notes have been given to the U.S. Secret Service.
The bills were used at fast-food restaurants and convenience stores in shopping corridors along 76th, 86th and 96th streets north, police said.
Investigators are working leads in the case and are asking businesses and employees to be on the lookout for suspicious bills.
