Tulsa police have identified a "person of interest" in an attempted robbery at a fast-food restaurant Saturday.

Authorities are seeking Darell Mitchell, 24, who is described as black, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

A warrant for Mitchell's arrest already had been issued for alleged failure to pay court costs and/or fines after pleading guilty to public intoxication in 2008.

Police said a man confronted a carhop at the Sonic Drive-In at 1007 W. 23rd St. with a gun about 9 p.m. Saturday, demanded money and then tried unsuccessfully to enter the store.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or tulsaworld.com/crimestoppers.
