Basketball: OU women add juco transfer

Junior college All-American Portia Durrett has filed a National Letter of Intent with Oklahoma women's team, head coach Sherri Coale said. Durrett, a 6-foot-2 power forward, led Walters State (Morristown, Tenn.) Community College to a 28-4 record and top-10 national ranking in 2011-12. The Seneca, Ky., native averaged 15.4 points and 7.8 rebounds and was the NJCAA Region VII Player of the Year in addition to All-America First Team honors.
