Jay Samuel Roberts, 87, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his home in Broken Arrow, OK after a long illness. He was born in Deepwater, MO, September 10, 1924 to Henry and Rosa Roberts, served in the Marine Corp in WWII and later moved to Tulsa where he graduated from the University of Tulsa Law School. He was an attorney in Oklahoma for 50 years first with the firm of Church and Roberts and later in private practice. He was preceded in death by his sister Irene Roberts and his brother John Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Roberts, his children Steve Roberts and Nancy Leonard, Terri Goins and Linda Henderson, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and his sisters Mary Lou Surls and Cindy Dodson. The visitation will be at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24, from 6 to 8pm. The funeral will be at 10:00am on April 25 at Floral Haven followed by burial service at the cemetery.
