Letter to the Editor: Hope and forgiveness
BY John Harris, Tulsa

The recent articles concerning recently
fired University of Arkansas
head football coach Bobby Petrino’s
misdeeds are disturbing. For Petrino, it
surely must be especially cold at home.
Unfortunately, his situation — terrible
as it is for his family, for him and for
countless others — has happened to
other people over the years.
In a 1990 country song Mark Chestnutt
sang about a guy drinking at a bar
because: “It’s too hot to fish and too
hot for golf and too cold at home.”
Most of all, Petrino needs our
thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, with
the resources that are available to him,
he will seek and find forgiveness. And,
live an exemplary life hereafter.
