FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Oral Roberts
baseball team lost 6-1 to No. 17 Arkansas on
Tuesday night at Baum Stadium.
The Arkansas pitching staff — which used
seven pitchers — took a no-hitter into the
ninth inning. Jared Schlehuber drove in ORU’s
lone run of the game with a groundout in the
ninth after Jose Trevino recorded the Golden
Eagles’ only hit. Trevino’s hit saved ORU from
being no-hit for the first time since 1969.
ORU (21-19) was held to one hit for the
second time this season. Phillip Wilson (1-2)
made his first start for ORU, pitching two innings
while allowing two runs off two hits.
Arkansas starter Trent Daniel (1-0) threw
three innings with five strikeouts as the Razorbacks
(29-12) defeated the Golden Eagles
for the third straight year.
The Golden Eagles return to Summit League
action against South Dakota State at 3 p.m. Friday
in Brookings, S.D.
