The Sooners improved to 27-16 overall and 8-8 in the Big 12, while Kansas fell to 17-26 and 4-12.

Although the game was delayed for 1 hour and 38 minutes due to the weather, John didn't miss a beat, allowing one run on five hits with no walks and eight strikeouts.

The redshirt sophomore became the second opposing pitcher to toss a complete game against Kansas this season, joining Texas Tech's Duke von Schamann.
