Not only did Camille Herron win the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon on Sunday, she shattered the women's course record by nine minutes.
Herron, who moved back to Oklahoma last summer, ran the 26.2 miles in 2:45:13, beating former University of Oklahoma All-American Catherine Lisle's record of 2:54:22 set in 2010.
Now Herron, 30, and her husband own the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon course records.
Herron's husband, Conor Holt, is a two-time champion of the race and set the men's course record of 2:22:54 in his 2004 victory.
