A Stilwell man died late Thursday after his motorcycle crashed in Adair County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
John Lancy Kelley, 24, was driving a 2007 Suzuki south on U.S. 59 about 4 1/2 miles north of Stilwell about 8:30 p.m. when the motorcycle struck a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado from behind, swerved off the road, hit a mailbox and stop sign and then went into a ditch.
The motorcycle overturned twice. Kelley, who was wearing a helmet, came to rest about 26 feet south of the motorcycle, the OHP reported.
He was taken to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., and died about 11:30 p.m., troopers said.
The driver and a passenger in the Chevrolet were not injured, troopers said.
