A woman accused of leaving her children in a car while she robbed a restaurant in April was charged Friday.
Lorna Hampton, 25, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of child neglect, Tulsa County District Court filings show.
Hampton, whose first name was previously reported as Lenora, was arrested April 26 after she allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant at 12705 E. 41st St., according to her arrest report.
The report says she entered the store and pulled what appeared to be a handgun but was later determined to be a BB gun from her backpack at about 8:45 p.m. A store employee ran to the back of the store as the robber jumped over a counter and began taking money from the register, according to the report.
The employee then returned with a stun gun, which he used to subdue the assailant until police arrived.
Two children, ages 2 and 5, were found inside a vehicle across the street that police determined belonged to the robber. The children were later released to a family member.
Hampton received a deferred sentence in 2010 on an assault with a dangerous weapon charge, according to court records.
Hamilton remains at the Tulsa Jail on more than $200,000 bond.
