ORU completes 3-game sweep of Mississippi Valley

Oral Roberts scored 11 runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on its way to a 20-4 romp over Mississippi Valley State on Sunday at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
The Golden Eagles (27-20) completed a three-game series sweep, outscoring MVSU (14-35) 28-5 in the final two games.
Cam Schiller had four hits to lead ORU, while Brandon King had six RBIs and recorded his first triple of the year. Every ORU batter who had an official at-bat had at least one hit on the day.
Kurt Giller (5-4) earned the victory on the mound for ORU, striking out four batters in five innings, giving up four runs.
ORU sent 16 batters to the plate in the bottom of the eighth, scoring 11 runs on seven hits.
ORU will finish the season with a pair of Summit League series, beginning with IPFW in Fort Wayne, Ind., on May 11-13. They will then finish at home with a four-game set against North Dakota State May 17-19.
