The Tulsa Shock waived Marshae Dotson, bringing the training camp roster to 14, the team announced Sunday.
Veteran guard Temeka Johnson is expected to make her camp debut Tuesday, bringing the roster number back to 15. Johnson, a 5-foot-3 point guard, was delayed in reporting because of playing obligations overseas. She was acquired by the Shock in an off-season trade with the Phoenix Mercury.
Johnson started 30 games for the Mercury last season, averaging 6.4 points and 4.4 assists in 23.9 minutes a game. In seven seasons in the WNBA, she has started 181 of the 198 games she has played in and is averaging 7.9 points and 4.5 assists in 24.9 minutes a game. Johnson helped lead the Mercury to the 2009 WNBA championship over the Indiana Fever in five games.
