Letter to the Editor: Different outlooks

I found the April 28 letter, "Next step" from Bert Hanson of Stillwater, somewhat ironic as he sarcastically compared the rights of the human embryo as written in the "Personhood Act," so silly that we should "consider baptism, blessings and salvation that each embryo is qualified to get right after conception."

Unbeknownst to the writer, the rite for the "blessing of a child in the womb," has been approved first by the U.S. bishops in 2008 and now has full approval by the Vatican from the Congress for Divine Worship and the Sacraments.

It just goes to show how the Hansons of the world consider what is important through a purposeless lens while others respond to the deeper understanding and grandeur of our being.
