Lola's opens food trailer on 11th Street

Susie "Lola" Pallazo is back. Pallazo, who operated Lola's at the Bowery in the Brady Arts District for six years, has opened Lola's food trailer at 1347 E. 11th St.

The menu has about 15 items, including many Lola's favorites such as Middle Path egg salad, Route 66 grilled cheese, oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies, and chicken adobo with goat cheese sandwich.

Lola's is open 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. It is cash-only.

Mazzio's offers buy one, get one free pizzas

Tulsa-based Mazzio's Italian Eatery is offering a buy-one-get-one-free promotion all day Wednesday at participating locations.

The offer is good only on large pepperoni, sausage or cheese pizzas.

Chick-fil-A sets mother-son 'Date Knight'

Tulsa-area Chick-fil-A restaurants will host a "Date Knight" for mothers and sons 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Medieval decor and knights in full suits of armor will set the tone for the evening, to foster conversation between mothers and sons. Activities are free, minus the cost of the food.

Chick-fil-A restaurants are located at 440 S. Gary Ave.; 4107 S. Yale Ave.; 7129 S. Olympia Ave.; 7777 S. Lewis Ave.; 7021 S. Memorial Drive; 11201 E. 71st St.; 10437 S. Memorial Drive, Bixby; and 12015 E. 96th St. North, Owasso.

Jay's Coneys adds new dishes to spring menu

Chicken salad and tuna salad made from scratch top the spring menu additions at Jay's Coneys, 12829 E. 41st St. Other new items include Frito chili cheese wrap, and club, turkey bacon Swiss, ham and cheese, barbecue, and barbecue chicken sandwiches.

Spiaggia recipes to be featured at dinner

Chef-proprietor Tuck Curren will prepare recipes from chef Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia restaurant on Michigan Avenue in Chicago at Curren's dinner club nights at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Local Table, 4329 S. Peoria Ave.

Dishes will include crescenza ravioli with Parmigiano-Reggiano and truffle butter sauce, mozzarella and roasted red peppers, filet mignon with braised oxtail, and bittersweet chocolate tartlets. Cost is $50 with wine, $35 without, plus tax and gratuity.

A dinner featuring Santa Julia wines from Argentina is scheduled 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Local Table. Dishes will include shrimp and sweet potato cakes, chicken empanada, grilled short ribs with chimichurri, and dulce de leche cheesecake bars. Cost is $25, plus tax and gratuity.
