Motorist ejected 150 feet, critically injured

A Tulsa man was critically injured in a wreck on the Sand Springs Expressway late Tuesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Nicholas Briggs, 33, was thrown 150 feet from a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle that drifted to the right, struck a light pole and rolled multiple times while headed west about 11:30 p.m. just east of 65th West Avenue, troopers said.
Briggs was not wearing a seat belt, the OHP reported.
He was taken to St. John Medical Center.
