A worker was injured when a power line was accidentally cut and shocked him, officials said.

A 39-year-old man was on the back of a dump truck in the 16800 block of East 21st Street putting gravel on the shoulder of the road, said Tulsa Fire Department Spokesman Stan May.

The back of the truck was elevated and hit a power line crossing the road. The line fell on the worker, hitting him the back and shocking him, May said.

He was taken in serious condition by EMSA to Hillcrest Medical Center, said Chris Stevens, EMSA public information officer.

Two other men were treated at the scene, but refused transport to a hospital, Stevens said.
