A man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle wreck in Delaware County late Saturday.
Richard Blue McElroy, 22, of Tijuana, Okla., was pronounced dead at the scene on Oklahoma 28 near Tijuana just before 9:30 p.m., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
McElroy was driving a 2006 Titan motorcycle westbound when the bike departed the roadway, traveling 125 feet before striking a concrete culvert, troopers said. He was thrown nearly 200 feet, they said.
The cause of the crash was attributed to unsafe speed on a curve or turn, the OHP report said; it added that McElroy was not wearing a helmet.
